How it all started...

Hi, happy bank holiday Monday =)

Thought today I would write a quick post about why I started making nappy cakes. Quite simply, my cousin had a baby and I wanted to make a cool present for them. I haven't got a photo of the nappy cake I made for them, I wish I had thought to take a picture. But never mind... It was similar to this one:

So my cousin and his wife were impressed and said I should have a go at making and selling them. So I went home and set up my facebook page www.facebook.com/nappycakes1511 and it escalated from there =)

Well I said it would be a short post lol. I'm going out to catch the last of the sun! Enjoy your bank holiday Monday!

Hi =)

Not really sure where to start with this post but here goes... My name is Hayley and I am attempting to set up my own business making nappy cakes. What is a nappy cake? Its a gift for a newborn baby that includes nappies (obviously) and other items that are useful for the parents such as cloths, bibs, bottles, blankets etc. Here are a few examples of ones I have made:

So why have I set up this blog? Well so I have somewhere to share the ups and downs of making and selling. So I can meet other crafters and small business owners. But mainly so I can have fun =D
